Welcome To Naseby Reservoir

Welcome to Naseby Reservoir covering approximately 95 acres, offering 60 pegs to date with more to be added at the end of this year due to work being done by British Waterways. Having been around since the late 1700's Naseby Reservoir is becoming more popular every year due to having extensive stocks of some large mirror carp, common carp, catfish, bream, roach, tench, pike and even trout. Head bailiff Harry Bosworth is to have meetings with the British Waterways to enhance the reservoir's stocks even more in the coming year.

On average the size of the mirror carp is between 10lbs and 22lbs, common carp between 15lb and 35lbs, large nets of roach between 30lbs and 50lbs, bream up to 10lbs, tench up to 10lbs, trout up to 8lbs, perch up to 4lbs and also catfish between 8lbs and 65lbs. However, regular visitors are convinced there are much bigger fish in the water having reportedly seen "large dark shapes". Naseby has a great deal to offer specimen fisherman as well as all other types of anglers. Steve Ringer and Alex Bones have stated that Naseby's carp are the best condition in the country.

Night fishing is welcome at Naseby and there is easy access to pitch a bivvy along the dam wall and across the reservoir.

Naseby is a really picturesque reservoir and even on the odd days when your fisherman's luck is all out you can sit back and enjoy the scenery and the wildlife that it has to offer.

Shown are some images of what Naseby reservoir has to offer. The scenery changes quite dramatically through the seasons. All seasons seem to have their own beauty. See more pictures of the reservoir and some examples of fish caught at Naseby in the picture gallery.
